Brimfield Antique Market, www.brimfieldshow.com, near Sturbridge,
2000 dealers along both sides of US Hwy 20 just south of I-90 between Exits 8 & 9. Brimfield is one of the largest and finest
antique markets in the country.
Due to the popularity of this Market it is advisable to make reservations far in
advance.

on 60 rolling acres with outdoor pool and tennis facilities, is our favorite. 1-800-PUBLICK.Or Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn

Restaurants: In Sturbridge, we like to
eat at the Whistling Swan, a charming restaurant at 502 Main St. or The Ugly Duckling located upstairs in the same building
in an old barn atmosphere. | Antiquing: After shopping the
Brimfield Market, you will find Sturbridge I-90 Exit 9, 1 mile West on Rte 20 at entrance to Sturbridge Village www.sturbridgevillage.com is Showcase Antique Center, 185 showcases and Fairgrounds Antique Center,
100 dealers at 232 Main (Rte.20). There is more “great” antiquing in the beautiful Berkshires. Take I-90 W to Exit 2.
Go West on Rte 8 to Stockbridge. Fans of Shaker furniture will be interested in Hancock Shaker Village www.hancockshakervillage.org with 21 Shaker buildings with original Shaker furniture, artifacts, weavers
& wood workers. This is 5 miles West of Pittsfield. which is 12 mi N. of Stockbridge. Adm. $15.
Lodging:
For this part of the Getaway you will want to stay in the century old Red Lion Inn, www.redlioninn.com, in Stockbridge. It’s old iron elevator, and huge Oriental rugs and great fireplace
make it a charming old world type atmosphere. 413-298-5545. The Red Lion Inn is at the corner of Main St and Rte 7.
Antiquing: The antiquing here is South on Rte 7, about 30 single and multi-dealer shops in Great Barrington and Sheffield

There is a 25 dealer mall at 319 Main St., in downtown Great Barrington, otherwise the shops are on Rte 7.
This
completes this Getaway, but if time allows there are 50 antiques stores in Woodbury, CT www.antiqueswoodbury.com about 50 miles South of Sheffield, MA. Rte 7 South to Rte 63 South to US 6
